Presented by The Jicareros (Linda Felch, Patrick Hanaway, Anna-Lena Hilton, Lawrence Messerman, & Susan Skinner, )
We hope you will join us for this unique ceremony and celebration!
On December 2nd, the Jicareros (carriers of the special bowls) will bring spiritual blessings from the Sacred Desert and bestow them upon all who attend. These blessings can generate new awareness and be a profound support for your health and well-being. The ceremony will include a meal and a celebration (with music and dancing) of the completion of the pilgrimage and the ritual cycle that began in September.

A Special Gift from the Birthplace of Creation
Offerings from the Tuki Fiesta in September are taken on pilgrimage to the Sacred Desert–which is considered the birthplace of the gods and the Wixárika tradition. Those called to this pilgrimage will observe a special fast for a month leading up to it. They include other mara’akate (initiated healers and ritual leaders in the Wixárika tradition), pilgrims, and the five of us Jicareros–who carry the jicaras (offering bowls) on the sacred journey. In this role, we commit to hosting the Tuki Fiesta and undertaking this pilgrimage each year for five years.
